IMPACTTULSA CONVENES BUSINESS COMMUNITY IN SUPPORT OF SCHOOL RE-ENTRY

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: August 3, 2020

TULSA, OKLA. — ImpactTulsa and the City of Tulsa are leading a collaborative space for business leaders in preparation for the school year. ImpactTulsa is hosting a virtual collaboration call series for business leaders to examine how they might support the community and their employees in light of school reopening changes.

Mayor G.T. Bynum will kick-off the first collaboration call taking place this Friday, August 7, at 8 a.m. to spark ideas and inspire those present to collaborate on sharing ideas, concerns, and questions as we prepare for a school year during a global pandemic. Local superintendents and school administrators are also invited to attend. The desired results and outcomes from this series are to engage business leaders to support education and the community in this time of crisis.

The series is intended to provide a collaborative space for business leaders to:

  • Discover pathways for organizations to support their employees in navigating childcare and work responsibilities;
  • Develop ideas on internal organizational responses to the untraditional school year; and
  • Identify perceived blind spots/barriers/challenges to solutions.
